Church Doesn't Always Come First

Some confusion arises because many churches require that their individuals be "called" to exist ordained or to serve equally pastors, priests or other ministers. Oftentimes the word "telephone call" is used to draw the process of selecting a minister or the decision to enter church work full-time. However, equally in the Bible itself, these situations are rarely direct, unmistakable, personal calls from God. Rather, they may describe a strong sense of guidance by God. If God leads or guides people to their work, could it ever be legitimate to alter jobs? Wouldn't that exist rejecting God's guidance to the piece of work you lot already have? Martin Luther, the 16thursday century Protestant theologian, famously argued against changing jobs. This was based largely on his understanding of this passage:
Allow each of you remain in the status in which yous were called. (1 Corinthians seven:20)
Luther equated "status" with occupation, and ended that it was not legitimate for Christians to change occupations. However, Luther's contemporary John Calvin did not accept this estimation — and most modern theologians exercise non either. In doing so, we are trying to correct the long-continuing tendency to regard ordinary work as unimportant to God and unworthy of his calling.
